Having a variable to disable it is a good fire escape > for now. I believe it should be a customizable option. Reason: I want to customize t= hat option and turn it off; and I'd much rather use customize-option to do it t= han add Lisp code to my .emacs (which I almost never have to do for variables, = so I don't see why this should be a special case). I don't think we need to wait to hear a ruckus before we offer people a way= to return to the Emacs-they-know-and-love. So, would someone please make this variable into a customizable option? I can do so by the weekend if no one e= lse gets to it. =2D-=20 John Wiegley GPG fingerprint =3D 4710 CF98 AF9B 327B B80F http://newartisans.com 60E1 46C4 BD1A 7AC1 4BA2 --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQGcBAEBCgAGBQJXIAGIAAoJEMFE2PTxn+YwzcsL/imiM+hZG8myjgDBMMPcWbcF 547EERxwynE9mJygp4LKUk5G7e63r3DnFiAEP1u3yLkAgp59YGGbMLNLyPf5+/jQ VFh71/OrNQ5o4/Ckekego3sQviyCtoKutTbeoPXLUK5ICTHzOM8PBpQiRCfRQXIj 9HysAEevh+Ec/sagw5z86u/q55hbN3IHxhdeK5Qvgc08zV48x5Rf+BpqkeSSSp1q NcegZHvIJoGLNNPyOKeSMIQ6+EIWEaldS1oaMV26/l/Tmvzibxsx1bXe8fkgBMXI SeEElL4WPRWXUWVBL5u7+AjXE8qKgewyvIjWvqVuGuQn4U2IQLt7aevnkdEQVI8o 5+5w7kvfMFlAm/Xl8aDMNBbAI2yu7ICpyLwtQD9aRi+RCcg3ffeQoBTNfSBzKcwU jIX2VACgV2t3AUFRG1BMNymP4kP7ZR2+8NqC7vCQ/dkZYpSTFaf6iyVIdDWKGnVY fjEtEdrcoUTX6t/ta6WPx1BETAq53DBNacsR9h/WEg== =gwMo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
