* bug#43726: 28.0.50; Misaligned read/unread items in Gnus group buffer @ 2020-09-30 9:12 Pankaj Jangid 2020-09-30 16:50 ` Robert Pluim 0 siblings, 1 reply; 7+ messages in thread From: Pankaj Jangid @ 2020-09-30 9:12 UTC (permalink / raw) To: 43726 In the Gnus group buffer, the items are aligned differently when there are read and unread items in them. I have tried in plain as well topic mode (by pressing 't'). Earlier, the colons separating the number of unread articles and backend and group-name were perfectly aligned in each row. But now it is appearing misaligned. The *bold* group names i.e. with the ones with unread articles are appearing shifted towards → right. I tried to revert to the commit specified in the bug-report but the problem wasn't there as well. In any case, I guess there's nothing to be done here, so I'm closing thing bug report. -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) bloggy blog: http://lars.ingebrigtsen.no ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 7+ messages in thread

Both the colons are in column 10. But still mis-aligned. Today, I have this kind of alignment again. Hence reposting here. > I'm guessing this was because of an odd set of installed fonts or > something? In any case, I guess there's nothing to be done here, so I'm > closing thing bug report. What are these 14% and 17% figures? They tell you that buffer position 146 is 14% into the file and position 181 is 17% into the file.
