Subject: dired-do-search fails if . is marked
Date: 29 Mar 2002 00:00:17 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m2n0wsn0mm.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
dired-do-search fails if "." is one of the marked files, (and in other
circumstances when I had marked several regular files....)
Do C-x d dir. Mark file1 and ".". Now do "A somestring". I see
<flash> and "Quit".
Some other directories than "." being marked didn't seem to foil
dired-do-search, however.
Yes, it can fail if it sees fit, but the message should say what we
did wrong instead of "Quit".
