Hello Emacsers,

Due to an upcoming vacation -- and the need to prepare for it -- Eli Zaretskii
has graciously accepted to lead our happy company until June 13th.

This period of time should focus primarily on getting the remainder of the
blocking bugs resolved, and getting out more pretests in advance of the first
release candidate. Nicolas has told me that the next pretest will be this
Friday.

Eli has complete deciding authority over all issues during this time, as I
likely won't be available even by e-mail, and don't want to hold up our steady
progress toward the next release.

Thank you,

The mind boggles. Are you vacationing on Howland Island? At the bottom of the
Mir mine? In the Ryugyong Hotel?

Anyway, have fun wherever you are!

Haha, thanks Paul! I'm going to Kona, Hawai'i (so yes, an island), and for the
first time won't be taking a laptop, just an iPad (Richard, you didn't hear
that, OK?). And since Emacs mail gets filtered to a mailbox that grows
enormously every day, I probably won't be checking it.

I'm already 500 messages behind after a few days, hence my need to call out to
Eli for assistance. You guys just do too much good work. :)
