That's definitely not DWIM. Just because I happen to visit a dired buffer does not mean that I want to execute a command starting with "dired-". In fact, most commands associated with the current buffer's major mode are usually on a key, so the command I want to execute with M-x is more likely _not_ associated with that mode.
