I don't know what you mean by "parent pays".
Anyway, it's true that you want a +1 x and y with a border on ttys as it
stands because otherwise the border could hide something. BTW, that
works nicely at least for what I'm using (Corfu, Vertico-Posframe,
Transient-Posframe).
