Subject: bug#7590: 23.2.90; Why the sticky bit is set?
Date: Wed, 08 Dec 2010 11:43:22 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m11v5so5gl.fsf@cam.ac.uk> (raw)
On OSX, build emacs with X11, I see the following:
Victoria:bin admin$ ls -lh emacs*
-rwxr-xr-t 2 admin staff 13M May 23 2010 emacs
-rwxr-xr-t 2 admin staff 13M May 23 2010 emacs-23.2
Wikipedia says it's a NOP and according to sticky(8) it has no effect on
OSX because the kernel knows better than you about stuff like that now.
