If I understand you correctly you mean that I should not use diff- but
only ediff.
Well ediff is more interactive and very nice, but if sometimes I open a
file .diff I would like to see it better.
For example I would also like to "fix" magit about that
- now even if I changed the faces for diff-mode it still shows me non colored
- I would like to see below my commit message the whole diff, so I don't
have to manually expand the files to see again what was really modified
