Since this does not go=20 through the `display-buffer' mechanism, it=E2=80=99s really hard for me to= =20 control where Emacs displays the Find buffer. I=E2=80=99m currently=20 advising `find-dired' to use `pop-to-buffer' instead. I=E2=80=99m surprised that it works this way? Does this bother anybody=20 else? Like, I could imagine an alternate world where that call to=20 `switch-to-buffer' could be replaced with something as=20 heavy-handed as =E2=80=A6 (pop-to-buffer (get-buffer-create "*Find*")=20 '(display-buffer-same-window (inhibit-same-window))) =E2=80=A6 so that Emacs would still try very hard to display the Find=20 buffer in the current window, but I could nevertheless override=20 that by customizing `display-buffer-alist'. Is there any particular reason to keep using switch-to-buffer=20 here?
