Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give
a recipe starting from `emacs -Q':
1. emacs -q
2. (require 'diary-lib)
3. M-x calendar
4. go to a date with diary entries and hit 'd'
For example:
Friday, 25 December 2009: Christmas
====================================
Pay rent
The face 'diary' is not applied in the above diary display.
This is a problem because some functions 'secretly' loads diary-lib for
example run-at-timer.
If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
For information about debugging Emacs, please read the file
/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/etc/DEBUG.

This works fine for me on GNU/Linux.
Does `C-u x =' show the diary face being applied at the relevant point?
Does `M-x describe-face diary' show a visibly distinct face?
Does customizing that face make a difference?

It seems to be a problem specific to ns port. If Emacs is started from
terminal, there's no problem. If it is launched from Finder, it exhibits
the bug.

1. No diary face is applied.
2. Diary face is red.
3. Make no difference.

Maybe check with locate-library that the right diary-lib.el file is
loaded in each case?

Weird. As I'm not a Mac user, I don't think I can help much.
What are the values of diary-fancy-date-pattern and
diary-fancy-font-lock-keywords after each launching method?

More information was requested four years ago, but no further progress
has been made, so I'm closing this bug report. If this problem is still
present, please reopen the bug report.
