Hi
with 24.3.90
having winner-save-old-configurations in post-command-hook seems to randomly
deactivate the mark and thus broke shift-selection-mode.
it wasn't a problem with 24.3.50
I look at winner-save-old-configurations but I couldn't understand how it can
deactivate the mark.

Sorry, I wrote too soon. It's not winner but I don't know what it is. When
emacs first started, shift-select-mode works ok then after a while, it's
broken. Shift-up would miss the 1st line and shift down sometimes won't select
anything.
