Um, the part that (implicitly) says "don't tamper with this, because you're probably too stupid to understand it, and we don't feel it's worth wasting our valuable time trying to explain it to a cretin like you". I have to side with Dan here. My .emacs file is _MY_ .emacs file, and if some overbearing fascist system won't let me edit my file, I want to know why.
