In an email sent under utf-8 encoding there are many escaped sequences
like \200 (hex 80) that make the reading difficult. They don't have to
be translated to a correct utf-8 sequence of bytes, only deleted. Is
there a function to delete all escaped sequences in a buffer or
selection in Emacs 23.3?

Thanks,

Ed
