There's no such thing as "utf-8 characters": there's the utf-8 encoding, and there are Unicode characters. If the problem is specific to a mailing system it would tend to affect the utf-8 encoding and hence all uses of accented chars as well. If the problem is specific to a character it would likely not depend on the mailing system, but only on the fonts available and the way the application controls/chooses them. Stefan
