That was the state of Guile-Emacs last year, pretty much (i.e. don't use the Guile-VM byte-code engine, but keep using our own interpreters instead, while sharing the heap with Guile, i.e. using Guile's GC). That's OK as well. The purpose of using the Guile-VM is that it should be able to give us better performance. Stefan
