It's fast and reliable enough for Edebug, but being an Elisp emulation of the C reader, it's obviously significantly slower than the C reader and less reliable. I think the reliability aspect should be good enough (or easy to fix) for el-search, but w.r.t to speed that might be a problem. Stefan
