This is a known problem (see for example
https://bugs.launchpad.net/emacs-snapshot/+bug/1251176 where people
came up with some workarounds).

My understanding is that it's fixed in the 24.3.91 pretest.
Please confirm that 24.3.91 works correctly without the need for any of
the workarounds,
