with-current-buffer is basically equivalent to something like

  (let ((current-buffer ..)) ...)

[ tho implemented differently for technical reasons.  ]
So it doesn't have any undesirable interactions with the redisplay code.

Any function which changes which buffer is being displayed in
a particular window.
