None of them make it unusable, but they do make it less convenient for ELisp hackers and Emacs users. So it's not a perfect solution, but I don't think that should mean we don't want it in our toolbox. Stefan PS: I think we can expect 99% of Emacs users have a Javascript engine already installed (in the form of a web browser), and with native compilation Emacs now comes with a runtime dependency on (a substantial chunk of) GCC, so the extra dependencies introduced by tree-sitter seem quite workable for the Emacs end-user. The ELisp hackers working on the major mode who want to tweak the grammar will suffer more, tho.
