I don't expect `C-x C-f` to affect focus, so this "suboptimal" looks OK to me (with "me" wearing my cap of Emacs user using a WM where the focus follows the mouse). It would also be OK (and probably better) to raise the frame F2, since it might be (partly) hidden by F3. Stefan
