I think claiming that you have "the right meaning" is weird, because I think there's no right or wrong, there are just a variety of options whose adequacy depends on the circumstances, so some are more often useful and others less so. I can't think of any part of Pcase's pattern syntax which I could describe as providing "the right meaning": they're all adjusted as best as I could to the needs I saw, but it's all just the result of a bunch of tradeoffs.
