Subject: bug#33822: 27.0.50; Generate events when selections change
Date: Fri, 21 Dec 2018 09:58:08 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <jwv5zvn6i67.fsf@iro.umontreal.ca> (raw)
Severity: wishlist
Package: Emacs
Version: 27.0.50
I'd be great if Emacs could generate events every time the clipboard or
the primary selection is modified.
E.g. it would make it possible to implement `gpastel-mode`
(http://elpa.gnu.org/packages/gpastel.html) without relying on an
external daemon. It would also let
https://github.com/clemera/clipboard-collector do its job without
constantly polling the current clipboard contents to see if it changed.
