Hi there,

1. Start emacs -Q
2. C-h v bounds RET

output:
,----
| bounds is void as a variable.

Tested in GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2008-11-24 on
LENNART-69DE564

I only found out this weird variable by accident. There might be other
such variables.

Type C-h v TAB, and prepare to have your mind blown.

This particular one probably comes from minibuffer.el.

It's a side effect of moving all the minibuffer completion stuff to
lisp.  What you see are the local variables in the functions that call
try-completion.
