Hello,

I'm using emacs 22.2.1 with a slime 2010-12-10. Whenever I type M-.
expecting to be taken to the definition of something, I get "No known
definition for X (in :<package-name>)".

I've read a bit of the slime manual, but it just implies that this is
"just supposed to work". How do I configure where SLIME looks for things?

Thank you.

I updated to the most current SLIME from the repo as of yesterday. I
still get the problem of M-. never finding any definitions. Is there
any more information I should relate that will help narrow down
the problem?

The SLIME Manual doesn't seem to help out in this case.

Thank you.
