I have tried with

~/.Xresoureces

Emacs.menubar.font
Emacs.menu.font
Emacs.dialg.font

but it does not work.
I use Fedora Core 11 `genuine' Emacs 23

I want to decrease font size in order the menus fit
small screen size (of the netbook).
Emacs.font directive works BTW
