Subject: [Lisp] Lisp Meeting, October 13th for presentation at P&Gs
Join us Tuesday, October 13th from 7:00 to 9:00 for Paddy Mullen's
presentation.
Terminalcast: Spreading Programming Practices
This talk shows how programmers can use "YouTube for Hackers" to share
and learn day to day programming techniques:
* Why terminalcast is particular relevant to spreading lisp
* How to record a terminalcast
* an overview of the internals of rxvt-js
Terminalcast is a website that allows a terminal session to be
replayed exactly in a browser, along with sound. The largest
component of terminalcast is rxvt-js, a complete rewrite of the rxvt
terminal emulator in javascript. http://github.com/paddymul/rxvt-js
Paddy Mullen is a New York City Developer. He has extensive
experience with JavaScript, Python and Emacs as well as a fondness for lisp.
Directions:
Just blocks away from the old P&Gs, near the 1,2,3 and B,C stops.
Head to the northwest corner of 78th and Columbus then down the stairs
outside.
