Subject: 23.1.50; emacs -Q crashes on GNU/Linux
Date: Sat, 17 Oct 2009 06:37:32 +0200
Message-ID: <87fx9izldf.fsf@telefonica.net>
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
emacs -Q crashes on startup with this message:
X protocol error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation) on protocol request 91
If emacs is invoked with
-q --no-site-file --no-splash
it starts okay. This is very odd, as -Q is documented as the equivalent
of those options.

Message-ID: <4ADCAB76.9050909@swipnet.se>

It was the scroll bar background. Emacs tried to allocate a color for pixel
-1, which is args out of range as the X error said. Now fixed.
