Hello, When i = try to "double click" to open the following text file in = Windows Explorer:

C:\Documents = and Settings\user_name\mytxt.txt

Emacs tries to = open the file:

which can't be = found. Can you provide any help?

The default install does not configure any file associations, so you must have configured this manually, or using a third party installer.
