Hello, When i try to "double click" to open the following text file in
Windows Explorer:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\mytxt.txt

Emacs tries to open the file:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Settings\user_name\mytxt.txt

which can't be found. Can you provide any help?

This is a problem of missing quotes from the file associations you have 
configured in Windows.  The default install does not configure any file 
associations, so you must have configured this manually, or using a 
third party installer.  If you did it manually, look for a %1 argument 
where you configured it, and change it to "%1". Otherwise submit a bug 
report to whoever provided the installer.
