Buffer-menu-mode has a lot of key bindings.
It is also the default for C-x C-b, so making it a bit easier to use is
good.
Maybe the ibuffer menus can be used as an inspiration...

Mouse-3 popup menu:
Select Buffer
Unmark Buffer
Mark to Save Buffer (S)
Mark to Delete Buffer (D)
Mark as Modified/Unmodified (*)
Execute: Save/Delete Marked Buffers
Delete all `D', Even If Modified
