has caused the Emacs bug report #1655,
regarding 23.0.60; visiting tarball marks the buffer as modified
to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

Visiting a tar archive results in the buffer containing its contents
being marked as modified.
