Hello.
I don't know the following is a bug or not (on Emacs 22.3).
But I will report it.
temporary-file-directory
=> "/tmp/"
example 1:
(make-temp-file "test")
=> "/tmp/test13247c2"
example 2:
(make-temp-file "")
=> "/tmp1324tmF"
Of course, example 1 is OK.
On the other hand, example 2 is OK?
In example 2, the function don't make temporary file under "/tmp"
directory. Even if PREFIX is empty string, the function should make
under "/tmp" directory, I think.
example of revision in (defun make-temp-file):
(setq file
(make-temp-name
(expand-file-name prefix temporary-file-directory)))
=>
(setq file
(make-temp-name
(if (string-equal prefix "")
temporary-file-directory
(expand-file-name prefix temporary-file-directory))))
