With recent cvs:
I tried to copy a local file to my local machine as root. I opened the target dir using /root@localhost:/target/path/...
Then, in source dired, use C on file, when I try to copy to target I get:
Copy `/home/nbecker/rdiff/rdiff.py' to `/su:root@localhost:/usr/lib64/python2.5/site-packages/hgext/rdiff.py' failed:
(file-already-exists File already exists /tmp/tramp.3686akF.py)
