in my ergo keymap
http://xahlee.org/emacs/ergonomic_emacs_keybinding.html
i've been thinking of removing the definition for the command
“recenter”.
Does any emacs user use that command much?
-----------------
For those who has been using thin ergo map, i'm thinking perhaps add
backward-kill-word to u (the left 2nd finger position)
Move the kill-line from that position to i.
good idea?

The fact that it recenters is occasionally convenient for me. The
fact that it refreshes the screen is essential. After a few days of
uninterrupted operation, my Emacs gets into a state where the screen
gets badly scrambled. The only remedy I have found is to kill &
restart Emacs, but it is often inconvenient to do that immediately.
In the meantime I can limp along with C-l.

I use it all the time, usually as part of a keyboard macro to search for
something, place it at the top, middle, or bottom of the screen, and
then do some editing.
