It is indeed subjective. I'd like to just reiterate my impression: that blue3 distinguishes itself from the black text _too much_. blue4, on the other hand, somewhat blends in, but in doing so it avoids the problem of being too in-your-face with prefix completion. And lets the users know anyway that if they really want to see the common part more prominently, there is a face they can customize.
