However the grep program is needed. I did make some small changes to rgrep (to make it use GNU grep's recursive switch), but that is not very important. rgrep works with the standard Emacs build on ms windows. The only thing you need is something like the gnuwin32 grep. I have packaged that with the installation. That is really all (but hopefully convenient for newbees).
