Similarly:
(mail-extract-address-components
  "\"Howell III, Thurston\" <thurston.howell.3rd@gilligans.is>")

returns:
("Howell III" "thurston.howell.3rd@gilligans.is")

instead of:
("Thurston Howell III" "thurston.howell.3rd@gilligans.is")
