using keyboard-translate !
(keyboard-translate ?\é ?\~)

(keyboard-translate ?\à ?\})
(keyboard-translate ?\è ?\|)
(keyboard-translate ?\ù ?\\)
(keyboard-translate ?\C-( ?\[)
(keyboard-translate ?\C-) ?\])
(keyboard-translate ?\FOOD ?\CHEESEBURGER)

Vincent.
