Hi Arash,

thanks

I tried that but it does also not work.

Warning: Opening nnimap server on posteo...failed: NO
(AUTHENTICATIONFAILED) Authentication failed.

In opened gnus the message came up:
IMAP user at posteo (gfp)
IMAP password for gottfried@posteo

Should it not say:
IMAP password for gottfried@posteo.de?
or is this because it says in gnus.el: ´((nnimap "posteo"

May be there is another problem which we don´t know yet.

1.
I log into posteo@de with my name gottfried and the address: posteo.de
(gottfried@posteo.de)

but I added an alias address with the name: gfp,
that´s why probable "gfp" came up in opening gnus.
gfp@posteo.at

but this also is only available through my main account:
gottfried@posteo.de

I guess this should´nt be the problem here.
But, why did it then come up?

2.
other problems
Can it be mbox or maildir makes a difference?
