Subject: NYC LOCAL: Tuesday 12 August 2003 Lisp NYC: ROBOCUP and Lisp Outreach Planning
Date: 12 Aug 2003 03:29:58 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bha51m$567$1@panix2.panix.com> (raw)

On Sunday 2 August 2003, at the Free Software Workshop in the Three Jewels,
Kenny Tilton gave a fine but too short introduction to Lisp, using CMUCL in
ILISP under Emacs on Debian GNU/Linux. Since that day I have answered many
requests for more Lisp with one word: "Soon".

Tuesday 12 August 2003 on the Island of the Manahattoes, Lisp folk will
gather and talk about ROBOCUP and eat and drink together. We shall also
plan the coming Lisp outreach.

Official Lisp NYC announcement below.

Subject: [Lisp] Lisp NYC general meeting 12-Aug-2003, more robocup presentation

It is my pleasure to announce our meeting at "Time Out" on Aug/12/2003 at
7pm. The meeting will run for about an hour and then we will go to the
bar. It is in the back.

I think we have a robocup presentation more or less lined up.

 Here are the directions:

 The deets:

 Name: Time Out
Location: Amsterdam between 76th and 77th, east side of street, between
River (Vietnamese and also good food) and another bar/restaurant (name
 forgotten, also good food,drink).
 getting there:

-- by car, 79th street exit from west side highway, down west end ave or
broadway to 76th, turn left and one or two blocks to Amsterdam.

-- by subway, 1-2-3-9 (the red line) to 72nd or 79th and Broadway. From
72nd, walk up Amsterdam (not Broadway). Amsterdam and Broadway cross at
72nd. From 79th, walk east one long block to Amsterdam and turn right/south.
