I would aspect that when I have the following:
(re-search-forward "[[:alpha:]]" nil t)
0123456789ABCDE
That when I execute the search I would find the 0, but I find the A.
What is going wrong here? I am using:
GNU Emacs 24.2.1 (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.6.4) of 2013-02-21 on build16

Maybe you’re confusing with [[:alnum:]]?

http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/RegularExpression
I'll notify them. Thanks, now it works.

I fixed it; thanks. (FYI: Anyone, including you, can
edit the wiki page to fix something like this.)
