I just used save-some-buffers to save some buffers, then asked myself,
"Holmes, just what buffers did I save?".  Well, as you might have
guessed, no trace of what emacs had asked me was in *Messages* or
anywhere else.  If you aren't on your toes when reading the question,
don't expect to find what was asked later, as "the secretary has
destroyed any evidence".

You can use C-x b to see what buffers need saving.  This doesn't answer 
the specific question, but it may provide the information you need.
