I don't want to execute M-x calendar again and again every day, how to
let emacs remind me of holidays just in the minubuffer or the mode
line?

Does this setting  make means only when I start emacs? I often keep my
emacs running for days

Have a look at appt-activate and the appointments section of the emacs
manual.
