I have the following series of phrases (a phrase consisting of any set of characters next to each other). Does
emacs have a utility that aligns into columns?
"itemize" "accents" "cases" "limits"
"subeval" "integr" "sum" "substack"
"brace-size" "brace-big" "matrix" "binom" "enumerate"

In text-mode M-x align RET. Highly configurable - see "align.el"
