This is in reply to a message I lost track of in Gnus.
To always send a command output to a specified buffer.
(defun shell-command-with-buffer(cmd)
(interactive "sCommand:")
(shell-command cmd (set-buffer (get-buffer-create "*Shell Command
Output*")) nil))
