Changes in Gnus on the release branch

Changes in Gnus on the release branch

Why were the changes below checked-in on the release branch, during a
week that is supposed to be the last one before the release?  Is there
some grave bug that was fixed by them?  If not, I suggest to revert
them.

	  * nnrss.el (nnrss-request-article): Allow mml-to-mime to generate MIME
	  article without making inquiry to a user for unknown encoding.

	  * nnmaildir.el (nnmaildir--group-maxnum, nnmaildir--new-number)
	  (nnmaildir--scan): Assume i-node and device number that file-attributes
	  returns might be cons-cell.

  2009-07-16  Teodor Zlatanov  <tzz@lifelogs.com>

	  * auth-source.el: Remove docs now in auth.texi.  Don't use
	  `gnus-message' for logging.  Add new variables `auth-source-debug' and
	  `auth-source-hide-passwords' and use them.

The change in auth-source.el should only be in the trunk (see Chong's
message here on emacs-devel:
<http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.gnus.general/68734/focus=112633>).
These need to be reverted on the release branch.  I'm not sure about
Katsumi's changes, I have to look at it.

I'll do so later today.

Sorry for my mistake.  The changes I made in nnmaildir.el was
for the bugfix but the ones in nnrss.el and auth-source.el didn't
seem so.  Anyway I had to have asked it in emacs-devel before
making changes in the RC branch.
