The message is saved with no error, hmmm. I did
mv .emacs dot-emacs
mv .newsrc dot-newsrc
mv .newsrc.eld dot-newsrc.eld
mv .gnus.el dot-gnus.el
rm .*~
and the recipe with the latest Emacs master.
