Subject: Getting the width of a character?
Date: Mon, 10 Feb 2003 10:42:11 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <b27s5j$mpi$1@sapa.inka.de> (raw)

Hi,

how do I get the width (in pixels or inches or ...) of a character in the
current default font? I know there are char-width and frame-char-width.
However, the former doesn't work with proportional fonts and the latter
only returns the width in columns.

Felix
