Hi,

Generally, when emacs opens a file in Windows OS, there is no problem
showing the full file name correctly in status line.

Now, when emacs opens a file through emacsclientw.exe, it opens a file
with short file name, so the file name is shown in 8.3 format in the
status bar in the emacs window.

Do you know how I can avoid this problem, please?

Regards,
Dan.

Could you please file a bug report with M-x report-emacs-bug,
providing a step-by-step recipe to reproduce the problem?

    Juanma
