Subject: larger (> size 34) font for display on XDMX visualization wall?

Hi,
I'm newish to emacs but I'm learning quickly with these font sizes. I
was able to set new font sizes using the following init line:
(set-default-font "-adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--34-240-100-100-m-200-
iso8859-1")
This works fine.
But when I try and tweak some of these existing 0-0-0-0 fonts to go a
little large, it breaks things so that the characters only show up as
a bunch of empty (albeit properly sized and placed) boxes.
(set-default-font "-bitstream-courier 10 pitch-bold-r-normal--40-0-0-0-
m-0-iso8859-1")
(set-default-font "-ibm-courier-bold-r-normal--40-0-0-0-m-0-
iso8859-1")
(set-default-font "-b&h-luxi mono-bold-r-normal--0-450-0-0-m-0-
iso10646-1")
the above three versions work on our head node but not on the wall
(using Xdmx).
I get the feeling that if I could only find some fonts that have
prespecified font sizes over what appears to be the limit (size 34) on
my system. I tried downloading some free true type fonts but they
didn't seem to grow my "xlsfonts" list any longer than it already
was.
Does any body know how to get emacs to display fonts over 34 size?
Thanks
Dave
